I’ve always been a hopeless daydreamer and mostly find myself thinking about all the future projects and things I want to be doing, rather than the ones that are currently present (oops).
But, instead of working against that I decided to go with the flow and write them all down so I can soak up the pleasure of anticipation even a bit more. The whole mindfulness and “being in the present” stuff will just have to wait a bit ;)
1. Moving to London
So this is probably the biggest and most life changing thing of them all. Next week the cats, my boyfriend and me will be moving to the promised city of raincoats (which reminds me I really need to get a new one).
After having been to London for a couple of days flat hunting a few weeks ago it’s all becoming more real and I can’t wait to get settled into our new home. I'm so excited to start exploring the city with cute cafés in every corner and melancholic weather all year long, and I'm secretly hoping I'll pick up some of that British accent.
2. Building my own creative business
It seems slowly but surely my dream of being able to make a living though my own creative business and Instagram is finally coming true. After the fifth time I got featured on Instagram I grew from around 35k to over 43k, and it felt like a bit of a milestone moment.
After that I’ve really seen an escalation of collaborations and projects that have started coming my way. I’ve also gotten more brave in reaching out to people and brands myself, and I’m also helping a company grow their social media presence and creating content for them behind the scenes.
3. Wearing knitwear
The Summer has been epically warm and I think the last time I wore anything knitted was back in April. So the thought of chilly Autumn days where you get to wear a cozy oversized knitted sweater makes my hygge heart purr with delight.
I also just browsed Pinterest for knitwear inspiration and can’t wait to knit a new fluffy slouched shoulder sweater. I’m thinking stripes, exciting yes!! :D
4.Decorating my new home office
In the flat we found in London there’s a whole room for me to set up my own little home office, which I’ve got like a million ideas for. The main ones being: getting a huge desk, a super comfy rug and a whiteboard. If there’s a coffee machine somewhere close by, I think I’ll be able to live happily ever after in my little home office :)
5. Stronger relationship
To be honest, last Spring in Stockholm and this Summer in Helsinki have not been the easiest time for the romantic side of our relationship.
Both of us have been really focused on work, it took my boyfriend a while finding a new job that excited him after he left his old one in Stockholm, and I’ve been quite worried and stressed about building my own career and trying to figure it all out.
Over the Summer we’ve lived in my parents apartment which has been cosy and they’ve mostly been away so we've had the place pretty much to ourselves. But, not having any proper actual “own” space has been exhausting at times and it feels so good to now look forward to building a new home from scratch, just the way we like it :)
What things do you mostly look forward to this Fall?
