Sizes:
One size.

Finished garment measurements:

Brim circumference: 49 cm / 18.5”.

The beanie is designed to have about 3-6 cm negative ease as the fabric will stretch out a bit when worn.

Tip: If the beanie feels too tight you can soak it and gently stretch it out while it's damp to increase the circumference. If the beanie feels too loose, you can sew in a see-through elastic thread (often found in the jewellery making section in craft shops) to help tighten the brim.

Gauge:

18 sts x 29 rnds = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4” on 4 mm / US6 needles in Stockinette stitch holding 1 strand of merino (fingering weight yarn) and 2 strands of mohair (lace weight yarn) together, or with 1 strand of DK weight yarn, after blocking.

Needles:
4 mm / US6 circular needles 40-60 cm / 16-24” (or longer ones for Magic Loop technique), and 4 mm / US6 double-pointed needles for crown shaping if you’re not using Magic Loop technique.

Notions:
Stitch markers, tapestry needle.
